As the founder of Cedars Executive Coaching, I am honored to have had the opportunity to work with inspiring leaders and dynamic teams across the healthcare spectrum. In my work, my passions for employee advocacy and business development intersected with my deep personal value of servant leadership. Over 25 years, I experienced tremendous career growth and advancement, ultimately serving as a Regional Vice President of Human Resources for Dignity Health on the Central Coast of California.

The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” -Mahatma Gandhi

My strongest talents are in working with people. I am a trusted advisor, a sought out leader. As a middle child, I am a natural diplomat, and happen to be an eternal optimist. Over the course of my career, people have trusted in me easily and have wanted to work with and for me.

In today's business world, change is rapid, challenging, and constantly looming. My ability to help my clients successfully TRANSITION in times of CHANGE leads to their success. One CEO I worked for called me “the best terminator he’d ever known”. This is because I focus on the individual being impacted by change (in this case, job termination), helping them to move their thinking beyond the change, to the transition that they were experiencing. Adopting curiosity and a growth mindset, my clients connect to their deeper purpose and passions, leverage their strengths, and succeed!

Change is a thing that happens at a specific point in time.

Transition is the experience that we have with the change that is occurring.

In the Hudson Certified Coaching world, we are known to say “It’s Messy in The Middle”. For many leaders, “The Middle” represents the space in between current state and a future in the change process. It is the place where uncertainty and fear take on lives of their own and threaten good solid progress.

Over the course of my career, I became skilled at recognizing the signs of "Messy in the Middle". I learned to anticipate team performance issues resulting from change, and to build effective strategies to mitigate resistance and build momentum.

Healthcare Organizations

With more than 30 years' experience leading successful change-oriented teams in large multi-state healthcare organizations, I understand the intense pace and pressure that comes with leading teams in today’s healthcare environment. The rising level of pressure from internal and external forces can leave leaders tapped out, uninspired, not performing to their own expectations. My greatest talent is in working one on one with leaders and their teams who are facing change, or looking to make improvements in culture, communication, morale or productivity.

Transition is the experience that we have with the change that is occurring.

In the midst of change, leaders and organizations focus on the change, but miss valuable opportunities to effectively address the transition that is happening for individuals and teams.

My clients build deeper engagement, enjoy greater success and improve their leadership presence by:

  • Connecting to individual and organizational purpose and passion,
  • Leverage individual and combined strengths and resources,
  • Leading with greater awareness, more effective thinking and decision making,
  • Building greater clarity, confidence, and credibility with their teams.

Not For Profit Agencies

I have been working with not-for-profit agencies throughout her career, as a board executive and a consultant. I understand the important role that these agencies play in the lives of community members, and I have witnessed that there are often unmet needs that not-for-profit agencies have in the areas of leadership and organizational development.

With expertise in organizational development, and strategic planning, I am pleased that I can offer:

  • Coaching for executive directors and mid level managers,
  • Custom leadership and team development programs,
  • Board retreat planning and facilitation.

I consider it an honor and a privilege to work with not-for-profit organizations, helping to leverage purpose, passion and strength for the benefit of the community.

“We don't go running away from our values. We go drifting away, and one day wake up in a place we ever meant to be, drifting in a direction we would have never chosen.”

John G. Blumberg

Don’t allow the drift. Live your life on purpose!
